Objectives
The instructions for this assignment were to write a descriptive memoir of someone who taught you a life lesson or lessons that you hold dear to your heart. My stepdad Doug had an unfortunate problem with substance abuse, but this never made me stop loving him. When he was sober, he brought more joy to my life than anyone ever. He died of an unfortunate overdose and head injury about 10 years ago.
