I successfully secured grant funding for NAMI Greater Indianapolis by developing a data-driven, evidence-informed proposal that addressed the rising mental health needs of youth in the Greater Indianapolis area. The proposal clearly demonstrated program need through local and national data, aligned evidence-based peer support models with community gaps, and presented a sustainable, accessible approach to youth mental health outreach. By centering cultural competence, peer-led engagement, and measurable community impact, the application resonated with funder priorities and resulted in full grant approval.
